Windows Twitter Clients by Memory Usage

The great thing about Twitter is all of the applications for it, you can get updates to your dishwasher to your SNES to your Nokia phone from the 80s, it’s incredible.

I like to blow off steam at night by doing a little gaming - and when I’m in these situations I need a Twitter client that uses as little memory as possible so I don’t lag out and fail humanity. I mean, if I can’t save the world from headcrab aliens - who else can?

The only thing I’m looking for in a client is the ability to update, reply to tweets and favorite them. If it has DMs, a replies section and other features, that’s great - but not important to me.

These are the results of my tests.

Programs with asterisks don’t meet my requirements but are here for reference purposes. (Usually means they don’t support favorites.)

So that’s about it. I think I’ll continue with IdentiTwitch, as Snitter is giving me some problems as of late. It’s not the most elegant-looking program - and I don’t even need the Identi.ca support, but it gets the job done.

I love testing out Twitter clients, and I’m pretty sure I’ve tested every single one for Windows. If I missed any clients, would you please let me know?
