WoW Raid Leader = Hiring Potential?

There are some people on reddit who are trying to argue that it’s a good idea and relevant.

I would say that I think it’s a bad idea. I like the idea of simply writing that you have team leadership skills. If they ask for an example during the interview, you can better explain how WoW applies, what you had to do as leader, and things you learned from it.

If you truly did take skills from leading a team in WoW, convincing the interviewer should be easier in person. But if you put it on the résumé by itself with no context, you’ve left them to draw their own conclusions.

I’d tread lightly though, and avoid it if possible - the whole idea seems to be grasping at straws to me. - If “WoW Raid Leader” is all you got on your résumé, you might want to look at building your career a little bit more. (Especially if you’re Alliance - because nobody will hire you! ;))

What do you think?
