I hate dubstep music. Very much. Every single track I listen to seems like the intro of a really great drum-n-bass track that never goes anywhere. The genre seems like a great big buildup to something that never climaxes. Audio blueballs. That’s what it is, dubstep music is like audio blueballs.
Biscope is a South African group who’s one of the shining stars of this genre and their remix of Ben E King’s classic really blew me away. It shouldn’t work, it really shouldn’t, and it probably takes a minute or two too long to build up, but you can’t stand back and be amazed when it does. What a creative use of bass in this song.
