airtank asked: i remember you posting quotes from xkcdb a while back. are you ever in #xkcd?
Yeah, I used to hang out in #tumblrs, #reddit and #xkcd a lot on Freenode, but it got kind of boring. Do you idle there?

Don’t just shorten your URL, make it suspicious and frightening.
Anonymous asked: your website tells me that all these people have "liked" your posts but I don't have the option to express my opinion on any easily visible buttons. I am offended.
I am guessing I need to be logged into tumblr or something??
Yes, indeed.
You know those videos sports teams show before introducing the team? Here’s the one they show for the University of Alaska-Fairbanks “Nanooks” hockey team. It’s mind-blowingly awesome.
Missed connections, looking for marriage, let’s meet, in addition to rooms for rent, cars for sale, and job openings. Sounds like Craiglist, but these kinds of ads have been around in newspapers as long as there have been news papers. The New York Times has some examples from the 19th century.
Wondertonic is the funniest tumblr that nobody seems to pay attention to. This article has zero likes and zero reblogs, along with a lot of other gems that he’s written like Yo girl, lemme take your fine self back to my crib and give you a Google Wave invitation and Blurry leaked photo of Apple Tablet confirms rumors that white males aged 18-35 are actively ignoring two wars, a recession, and imminent ecological disaster
There are some people on reddit who are trying to argue that it’s a good idea and relevant.
I would say that I think it’s a bad idea. I like the idea of simply writing that you have team leadership skills. If they ask for an example during the interview, you can better explain how WoW applies, what you had to do as leader, and things you learned from it.
If you truly did take skills from leading a team in WoW, convincing the interviewer should be easier in person. But if you put it on the résumé by itself with no context, you’ve left them to draw their own conclusions.
I’d tread lightly though, and avoid it if possible - the whole idea seems to be grasping at straws to me. - If “WoW Raid Leader” is all you got on your résumé, you might want to look at building your career a little bit more. (Especially if you’re Alliance - because nobody will hire you! ;))
What do you think?
A friend of mine posted a thread asking for all “novelty accounts” to post within. The results are pretty hilarious.
